I just gotta say, Bryan Krueger is the best photographer around...these photos are a couple years old but they're still my favorite ever.  And I was lucky enough to bribe my friends with champagne and cookies to get them to model for me. 2009(?), I miss you.

new things

I finally am listing new stuff on etsy...the renegade craft fair had me swamped for the last while.  New in the shop is my personal favorite, the Queen of Beers -
budweiser is probably one of the best packaging designs ever.   i wore this dress on the 4th of july, and it was the best 4th of july ever.
I picked this up yesterday too.  It only took me 4 years to get it.

the extra terrestrial

Today I had a curly fry eating contest at Jack in the Box.  It was real over the top, I don't think I'll be doing it again anytime soon.  I couldn't move for about 3 hours.   In other news, I've been alerted of a sheet set I'd never seen before - E.T!!!!!  Check it out...
Such good colors.  Dresses will be made soon.

the screamers

because i just can't

stop hoarding.  Got this at Salvation Army today for a buck fiddy.  Nice 1960's two tone cream and mustard label maker with the original box!  So far, I've labeled all my roommate's doors, computers, and the coffee maker. and the bathroom mirror.  It's reallllly fun. If you have any other ideas of good things to label please let me know.

my new baby

Yeahhhh, my new sewing machine.  Pictures don't do it justice, blah blah, I sound like a new mom.
see the white label??  there's spools of thread and needles on either side.

it was only $14. oh, but i realized too late it only does a straight stitch. boo.

Bolo

Bolo Ties.  I've always liked western wear, but after seeing True Grit I got obsessed.  Nothing better than a shirt buttoned up all the way and a sweet bolo tie to top it off.  A great alternative to scarves or necklaces.   In my personal opinion, the bigger, the better.  Here's some sweet finds from etsy...
Circular Wooden Deer Bolo from TheWishingWardrobe
Reminiscent of a wall decoration in a log cabin...

Vintage Native American Head Bolo from Berkshiret
Wear this with a suede fringe jacket...tough as nails.

Silver, Turquoise and Coral Bolo from QualityVintage

Seriously classic.

Today I got a new sewing machine.  In drawings, it looks like this

but in real life, it's turquoise/green.  Made in Japan at some point in the 60s.  I'll have a photo of it soon.
